What does maintenance cover?
- Inspection of the curtain/panel surface, seals and brushes
- Adjustment of the guide, rollers, springs and cable tension
- Performance check of the motor, gearbox and brake
- Testing of the photocell, safety barrier and emergency stop
- Checking the controls, limit settings and electrical connections
At what interval?
The interval is set by the daily cycle count. On doors below 50 cycles a day, maintenance once a year is common practice; between 50 and 200 cycles, every six months; and above 200 cycles, every three months. In dusty, humid or chemically loaded environments this interval is shortened.
What to do when a fault occurs
Do not force the door; put the motor into manual mode, close the passage safely and call the service team. On a door that has been forced, the guide, the rollers and the panel are usually damaged together rather than a single part.
