Panel structure and insulation
Sectional door panels are produced by injecting solid polyurethane between two steel skins. This sandwich structure provides both thermal insulation and rigidity. The thicker the panel, the higher the insulation value; in heated areas, panels of 40 mm and above are preferred.
Where are they preferred?
- Villa and housing estate garages: quiet operation and aesthetic harmony with the facade.
- Industrial entrances: strength and insulation across wide openings.
- Service and wash areas: natural light with windowed panel options.
Safety equipment
Spring-break safety, cable-break safety and a photocell should not be optional extras on sectional doors but a standard expectation. On powered installations there must also be a manual release mechanism for use during a power cut.
A well-chosen sectional door shapes the look of the facade at least as much as its insulation value.
