Garage Doors

From home to workplace, a garage door made to your opening

The garage door is the largest moving part of a home or a workplace: it runs several times a day, it shapes the look of the facade, and if it opens onto a heated space its insulation shows up directly on the energy bill. That is why the choice is not only a matter of colour and model; the panel type, the track system and the safety equipment are part of the job as well.

  • Made to the opening: non-standard sizes are manufactured too
  • Heat and sound insulation with polyurethane-filled panels, quiet running
  • Spring-break and cable-break safety devices, photocell and manual release
  • RAL colours and woodgrain finishes to match the facade

Technical information and dimension tables

Which type of garage door?

  • Sectional: folds up panel by panel and takes no space in front of or behind the door; stands out for insulation and quiet running
  • Roller shutter: winds up into a roll, preferred where lintel headroom is limited and on business frontages
  • Hinged and sliding: installed with automation where architecture or the existing structure requires it

The three measurements that decide the choice

As well as the width and height of the opening, the lintel headroom above the door and the free clearance on both sides are decisive; the track system is chosen accordingly. If the garage is heated, or adjoins living space, panel thickness comes into play: panels with 40 mm or thicker polyurethane infill provide both thermal and acoustic insulation.

Safety is not optional

  • The spring-break device stops the door falling if a spring fails
  • The cable-break device does the same for the lifting cable
  • The photocell detects an obstacle underneath while closing; in homes with children it should be treated as mandatory
  • Every powered door must have a manual release for use during a power cut

We settle the size, the panel type, the colour and the automation together during the survey; the door is then manufactured to your opening.
